Glass-lined reactors are used when the reaction media is highly corrosive to stainless steel — such as concentrated mineral acids (HCl, H2SO4, HNO3), strongly acidic organic reactions, and chlorinated solvents. SS 316L is suitable for mild acids, alkalis and solvents. Hastelloy is the alternative to glass-lining for high-temperature corrosive reactions where glass-lining is impractical.

Standard jacketed batch reactors are rated for 6 bar shell pressure and 6 bar jacket pressure. Our high-pressure autoclave range covers up to 350 bar at 350°C in SS 316, Hastelloy and Inconel construction for hydrogenation, polymerization and supercritical reactions.

Yes, we supply ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 rated equipment for flammable solvent environments. This includes flame-proof motors, ATEX-rated agitator seals, explosion-proof instruments and static earthing provisions as required by the hazardous area classification.
