A high-shear emulsifier (rotor-stator type) is used for making oil-in-water (O/W) and water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions like creams and lotions. It creates very fine, stable droplets through intense shear. A planetary mixer is used for thicker products like thick creams, wax-based products, lip balm and pomades where the high viscosity makes a rotor-stator impractical.
Yes, we manufacture vacuum jacketed mixing vessels for cosmetic manufacturing. The vacuum function removes air bubbles (de-aeration) from the product during mixing, which prevents oxidation, improves product appearance and extends shelf life.
